Podcast Directories like Spotify, Apple, and Google don’t actually store your podcast files, instead, they use the RSS feed from your hosting site (Kajabi) to allow users to subscribe to your podcasts. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and refers to files that are easily read by a computer application in order to automatically get the latest content from sources that are updated frequently, like websites, blogs, podcasts, and newsletters. Does Buzzsprout Have an Affiliate Program?. Are Tags and Keywords different things?. Can I create a URL for a specific timestamp?. What does “Waiting for Audio File” mean?. If you run into any issues with verifying your podcast or getting listed on a directory, shoot our support team an email at and they can help! You can temporarily add the email back into the RSS Feed in the future if you ever need to. After 48 hours we will pull it out of your feed to protect your inbox. The temporary option will allow the directories 48 hours to verify your email address. We recommend that you choose to leave the email in your feed for 48 hours, but you do have the option to add it to your feed indefinitely. Just add your email there, and we will drop it into your RSS Feed. To add the email, just click the button and you will see a text box appear. On that page, you will see your RSS Feed URL and an option to add an email or token to your feed for Ownership Verification. Log into your Buzzsprout account and go to your Directories page and click on the RSS Feed tab.
